Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- User Support: Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and emails, assisting users with hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including network connectivity, software errors, and hardware malfunctions.
- Installation and Configuration: Set up and configure new computers, printers, and other devices for users.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system changes in a ticketing system.
- Training: Provide basic training to users on software applications and best practices for technology use.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolutions.
- Maintenance: Assist in routine maintenance of IT equipment and software updates.
Tasks
- Respond to users experiencing difficulties with computer
- Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
- Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
- Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
- Participate in the redesign of applications and other software
- Provide business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
- Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
- Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) are preferred.
- Previous experience in a technical support or help desk role is a plus.
- Familiarity with operating systems, software applications, and network troubleshooting.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Patience and empathy when dealing with frustrated users.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Working Conditions:
- May require flexible hours to accommodate user needs.
- Fast-paced environment with a variety of technical challenges.
