Key Responsibilities:
- Transport Materials: Drive a dump truck to transport gravel, sand, dirt, asphalt, or other materials to construction sites, quarries, and other designated locations.
- Loading and Unloading: Ensure proper loading of materials and safely unload them at the destination, adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Route Planning: Plan efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption, taking into account road conditions and traffic.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the dump truck; perform routine maintenance and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure safe operation of the vehicle.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other drivers to coordinate activities and report any issues.

- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in truck operation or safety may be beneficial.
- Previous experience driving a dump truck or similar heavy vehicle is preferred.
