Salary: $28.10 per hour for 40 hours per week

Who is a Construction Worker?
A Construction Worker is responsible for executing a wide range of tasks related to building and construction activities. These tasks can vary from loading materials to performing demolition work. Construction workers are vital in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and meet safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials at job sites.
- Concrete and Asphalt: Mix, pour, and spread materials like concrete and asphalt.
- Construction Assistance: Assist with house framing, wall erection, roof building, and pipeline alignment.
- Earth Leveling: Level earth to fine grade specifications, and pave and rake asphalt.
- Demolition and Cleanup: Assist in demolishing buildings, clean salvaged materials, and remove debris.
- Machine Operations: Operate and tend to machines and equipment used in construction.
- Safety: Direct traffic at or near construction sites to maintain safety.
Work Environment:
- Conditions: Outdoor work, including dusty environments and work at heights.
- Green Job: This role contributes to green construction projects that promote positive environmental outcomes and help Canada achieve its net-zero emissions goal. Workers in this role help reduce carbon footprints through sustainable practices and building techniques.
Qualifications:
- Education: Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
- Language: Proficiency in English.
- On-Site Requirement: Work must be completed at the physical location, with no remote work option available.
