Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Caregiver to provide personal care and companionship to an elderly family member in Woodbridge, ON. If you are experienced, reliable, and have a passion for helping others, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in someone’s life.
This is a full-time position with flexible hours, including day, evening, and weekend shifts, as well as the option for live-in accommodation (though it is not required). The role is ideal for someone who is patient, trustworthy, and capable of providing both physical and emotional support.
Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist with daily personal care tasks, such as grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
- Health Management: Administer medications and assist with daily exercise, including walks.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Companionship: Provide companionship and emotional support to the client.
Experience & Specializations:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a caregiving role.
- Target Audience: Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, disabilities (physical, mental health), elderly persons, or females in need of specialized care.
Work Environment:
- Non-smoking environment: Applicants must be comfortable working in a smoke-free home.
- Physical Demands: Ability to assist with walking, crouching, kneeling, and handling weight between 61 and 80 kg (133-176 lbs).
- Optional Live-In Accommodation: Accommodation is available at no cost, but living on-site is not required for this position.
