About the Role

Location: Berry Mills, NB
Salary: $23.00 per hour, 65 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time, Day, Evening, Night, Overtime, Flexible Schedule
Start Date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport Goods: Safely drive and transport goods to various locations, adhering to all safety regulations and company protocols.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; complete logbooks, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
  • Concrete Mixing & Equipment Operation: Operate straight trucks, concrete mixers, and other related equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate driver logbooks, inspection reports, and other essential documentation to ensure compliance with provincial regulations.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel for extended periods and work varying shifts including day, evening, and night shifts.

Qualifications

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset but not required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
  • Certificates & Licenses:
    • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
    • Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
    • Driver’s License (Class 3 or D)
    • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate

Work Setting: This is an on-site role that requires work to be completed at the physical location. There are no remote work options available.

Skills & Experience

  • Documentation Knowledge: Ability to work with driver logbooks, inspection reports, and maintenance and repair documentation.
  • Trucking & Equipment: Experience with concrete mixing and operating straight trucks (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles).
  • Communication Systems: Familiarity with trip recorders (on-board computers) and other trucking communication systems.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Must be comfortable working long hours and overtime as needed.
