We are seeking a compassionate Live-In Caregiver to assist a person with disabilities in their North York home. This role requires a dependable and organized individual who can provide personal care, companionship, and support in daily living activities. Salary: $19.00 per hour, 40 hours per week

As a Live-In Caregiver, you will provide both emotional and physical support, working closely with the client to meet their unique needs. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life while developing your own caregiving skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal Hygiene Assistance: Help clients with bathing, grooming, and other aspects of personal hygiene to ensure their comfort and dignity.
  • Household Duties: Launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping tasks, and maintain a clean and organized living environment for the client.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in meaningful conversations, and participate in activities that enhance the client’s quality of life.
  • Personal Care: Assist with activities of daily living, such as dressing, feeding, and mobility support, ensuring the comfort and well-being of the client.
  • Medication Administration: Assist in managing medications as directed by healthcare professionals to ensure the client’s health and safety.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals that cater to the client’s dietary needs and preferences, promoting their health and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience in caregiving or a related field.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Persian is considered an asset.

Work Setting: The caregiver will work in the employer’s/client’s home. This is an on-site position with no remote work option available. The caregiver will live in the client’s home to provide full-time support.
