Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to help clients identify goals and develop actionable plans.
- Facilitate workshops and group sessions focused on life skills such as communication, time management, decision-making, and problem-solving.
- Assess clients’ strengths and challenges to tailor coaching strategies to their individual needs.
- Support clients in building confidence, self-esteem, and resilience.
- Monitor progress and adjust coaching techniques as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
- Provide resources and tools to assist clients in overcoming obstacles and achieving their goals.
- Maintain accurate records of client sessions and progress reports.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists or educators, to provide comprehensive support.
- Stay updated on best practices and trends in life coaching and personal development.
Tasks
- Prepare reports or case histories
- Appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services
- Perform administrative tasks
- Implement life skills workshops
- Liaise with the inmates’ families and contacts in the community
- Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs
- Resolve conflict situations
- Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
- Implement behaviour management programs
- Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
- Assist clients/guests with special needs
- Accompany clients to appointments and social outings

- Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in coaching, counseling, or mentorship.

- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Knowledge of personal development techniques and resources.
- Certification in life coaching or related fields is a plus.
