Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Greeting: Warmly welcome guests as they arrive and thank them as they leave, ensuring a positive first and last impression.
- Seating Management: Assign tables based on guest preferences and availability; manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Reservation Coordination: Handle reservations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and efficient seating arrangements for large parties.
- Waitlist Management: Maintain a waitlist when the restaurant is busy; communicate estimated wait times to guests and keep them informed.
- Customer Service: Address guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and courteously.
- Collaboration: Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Cleaning and Organization: Ensure the entrance and waiting areas are clean and organized; assist with general restaurant upkeep as needed.
